>>2650Im in the same boat as you, ive mostly only seen clips and never really sat down and watched it despite wanting to.
The series looks nice and has a style to it you dont get these days.

I had the old fansubs as a kid and loved them but they wern't complete. Then I got the first series Blu-Ray and watched it over the pandemic for closure.
It's still good, really funny with some occasional serious drama punches. I was let down by the final arc in the first series, though. It didn't make me want to go onto the second at all.
But before then it's great. Enjoy the ride!

So, did anybody watch it?

100+ episodes is too fkn long gimme some time dammit >_< First episode felt chaotic. I can't tell if Sana is just hyperactive or schizophrenic. Maybe the whole thing is just a delusional fantasy in her mind? The fast pace was difficult to keep up with, probably because I have the attention span of a 5 year old on crack. The rivalry with Hayama doesn't really feel that compelling right off the bat. For a child actress with a pimp heh it seems like the least interesting thing that could be happening in her life. The other characters don't feel all that interesting besides Sana's mother and her relationship with Rei. Gonna watch more episodes when I get the time

>>2691Alright, it's been extended. Even I haven't seen much of it yet because I've been cleaning up my in progress backlog.

A little late, but I've been watching it as well. Sana is hyperactive to the point of being tiring sometimes. I watched the OVA and thought her pacing was much better in there. I think really liking the OVA was what made me stick to the series.

The series grew a a lot on me, the ending theme was even in my dreams today.
No.2742
I finished the first season. It had some dramatic moments in the beginning, but I wasn't expect it get that tragic near the end. I think the series did a great job balancing drama and comedy, which is quite a hard thing to do. I will be starting the second season right away. Am I the only one watching it here?

>>2742You probably are for now, I salute you.

No.2754
The second season is not going as well, it lost the balance that the first one had and geared heavily towards drama. And it feels a lot more like a standard shoujo series. I ended up missing the hyperactive Sana. There are some abrupt transitions from very dramatic sequences to the upbeat happy ending theme that bother me a lot. I also think what Fuka did was pretty messed up.

Well, I just wanted to say I finished Kodocha. It was a lonely journey, but a journey nonetheless. I rate the overall series a 7/10.
Now that the WAMC April is done, how about we do Detective Conan for WAMC May?
