No.1949
>>1947Still haven't watched this OVA, though I finally finished Blade. The OP by Masami Okui is one of my favorites, I love how so much of of her 90s music had shredding guitar solos worked in. Lots of cool little fills on the bass in this song as well.

This may be more on the milktoast side of things, but the GitS ost excells in building atmosphere and suspence.

It's really catchy and memorable.

Are audio files supported?
Also what is the actual max filesize because 8mb seems to exceed it.

This OP song is so catchy that it frequently gets stuck in my head years later.
>inb4 2001It's cel so it should still count as retro.

No.1976
>>1975It's a pretty solid children's anime, I enjoyed it a lot. It's a standard fantasy adventure featuring an elf girl and a bunch of homeland critters.
Entertaining recurring villains too.
No.1978
>>1976>>1977I just read a plot synopsis, sounds good, like nothing really bad will happen, just some relaxed and fun adventures. cheers, i will definitly give it a shot.
No.1979
>>1978Have fun with it, I enjoyed it a lot.
It's apparently also based on some Italian novels but from what I gather it's a completely anime-original characters and anime-original story, just set in the same world.

>>2026I also love Zeta Gundam's soundtrack. I was so confused when I heard some of the tracks in Urusei Yatsura. I hadn't previously known that many of them had been composed before either show.

>>2028Unfortunately Sedaka's original version of the second OP remains unreleased, as far as I know.
The ED was based on one of his songs as well, which I actually really like (don't much care for Better Days are Coming on the other hand)

>>2062I will forever hate the name on that third video, spoiled me on something I had no idea about. My own fault for looking the OST up for Danpei's theme but I just didn't expect that shit to be there, could've easily called it something like Rikishi's Theme 2 or something.
Speaking of AnJ music, here are Joe and Carlos's theme when they're entering the ring.

>>1947I think that my favorite Anime soundtrack is probably Akira's. I love the prog, traditional, and ambient fusion that the soundtrack has. Geinoh Yamashirogumi's entire discography is fantastic as well. Akira's soundtrack essentially has two sibling albums as well. Ecophony Rinne and Ecophony Gaia. Rinne is my favorite ambient album. If anyone enjoyed Akira's soundtrack I highly recommend listening to these if you haven't done so already.
Akira sample:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jS1wkJqU3G0My second favorite is probably Turn A Gundam's soundtrack. I believe that it is by far Kanno's best. The soundtrack is nostalgic and refreshing. The mix of British folk sounds and wide open Coplandesque feeling pieces perfectly fit the show's Amerian setting.
https://files.catbox.moe/5lhndj.flachttps://files.catbox.moe/w6ef1x.flachttps://files.catbox.moe/jhgmla.flacHonorable mention to Giant Robo's grand and sweeping score as well.
https://files.catbox.moe/f3h1x2.flachttps://files.catbox.moe/uzd37n.flachttps://files.catbox.moe/0opsov.flac>>1988Utena's soundtrack is fantastic. It got me into listening to Japanese Zeuhl and brutal prog like ruins and Koenji Hyakkei.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W36iAoH_FSshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EyUnpIIK2FA The rest is amazing too. Clear and crystalline melodies that enhance the show a great deal, but never feel obtrusive. Really is peak BGM. I feel that the Pokemon anime had a soundtrack of a similar quality for a time.
