Darling's Recap

Darling's Recap - The largest (publicly-available) English dub of the original Urusei Yatsura anime

The concept works like this. Once, I got drunk and decided that there wasn't enough English Urusei Yatsura content, so I wrote and recorded a retelling of the first two episodes, sometimes cutting to fake dialogue I made up. The next day, I saw the recordings open in Audition, decided that it was worth a shot, and edited two episodes of the series. I saw that there was potential in this idea, and I kept going, but with time, I thought the conversations were way funnier than my ramblings, so it just became an abridged series instead. Except everyone's still all voiced by me without any real change in tone, partially because I think it's funnier this way (it reminds me of bootleg movie dubs I saw as a kid and very early YouTube), and partially because I'm not an actual voice actor. :(

So yeah, basically, it's a UY gag dub that recontextualizes the characters and lets them say the fuck word. Episodes were weekly but now come out whenever as a result of having no free time in my home life to make them, trying my hardest to change that.

The full series is currently available on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1pwiN0iE_gF9jUGjRWWsig/

Video linked is episode 13A, full, because compressing it for wapchan makes it only like 8MB.

/ocvic/ - a bold new concept

/ocvid/ is going to be different from every other board on here - in that it's focused purely around original longform content (original concept was video reviews) from our userbase. The imageboard format may encourage more organic discussion, but we'll have to see.
>Rules
Every /ocvid/ thread must have:
>OP being a thumbnail or webm of the video
>Short description of the video
It would also be nice to have a higher quality version of the full video linked on an alternative platform (youtube, odysee or bitchute) come to mind, since I don't have a ton of disk space to give for every video. However, you can get a lot done with a simple webm preview. Here's one I made of one of my older youtube videos
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSmBq7FGUb4 using ffmpeg to lower the resolution, bitrate and only having the first five minutes.
Replies to the initial post should be on topic.
I hope this board turns out to work well!
