I'll be surprised if this goes anywhere honestly. Ubuu is a living corpse and the other altchans that were invited aren't exactly known for having many gamedevs. 39chan makes synths i guess, but not games, and Wapchan was working on a Touhou VN but then development stopped.

First of all, this is an independent Sushigirl event with organizers separate from the admin, and I wouldn't understimate sushirolls. The entire jam was entirely prompted by multiple rolls posting own game prototypes, art, and music on the boards and the chat, asking for a creative event. For participation, our desire is to at least match the four somewhat completed entries the original 2022 jam brought. See that I am not saying anything about game length, depth, or anything like that. We are more than okay with a 5minute "simple and scrappy" experience, as long as it's weird in your unique way.

well I am still watching my anime with subtitles in my native tongue or English, I like understanding the plot. All of the invited boards are primarily English-speaking. I am not saying you cannot make games for foreign culture(s), the first rule is the exact opposite. You only need to provide a translation and basic accessability.

That was definitely not our intention. It's there to prevent cognitohazard so strong it scares others from interacting with us ever again, like the second anon pointed out.

Unless you think that anything that's not illegal, unethical, or propaganda is mediocre, I don't think so. The vagueness is the consequence of a cultural exchange programme with such a diverse set of communities.

Huh? We do accept Tor viewing. There are moderators that exclusively use the site through Tor. That is, if you don't manage to hit an IP previously used by a spammer, which is possible . We are hooked to a Tor blocklist service for posting through, as most of the non-illegal but malicious spam came from Tor nodes and dealing with illegal spam is annoying enough . If you can get a proxy with a fixed IP and still find yourself blocked, let us know on Matrix / e-mail the owner with the IP to be whitelisted.

All the illegal spam were AI script bots and big corps bots powered by (((cloudflare))). If you have Anubis and custom capcha like protection, thats pretty much solves all the shitty illegal spam.

The two month bar seemed standard and was confirmed to be doable, yet it should only act as a motivator (you can definitely keep working on it afterwards, we are okay with you pushing updates), not a deterrent. The goal is to put a foot forward, not a whole truck.

We are okay with late entries, yet we wouldn't want to drag it out for too long, we are already planning new stuff, and don't have unlimited resources.
