don't worry, there's no plans for wapchan to join that particular group of sites (addressed it here >>140 ). we may form loose partnerships with other net communities (and may even form an actual webring down the line, as in just site's linking to eachother without some plugin) but will otherwise always be an independent site.

Good plan. I've got a site in the works myself with tons of otaku info I've accumulated with my friends and events we've run and are running over the years.
It'll have an imageboard attached, so when I get that running I'll hit you up if things align as I imagine they should.
I really like the community you've attracted, it doesn't have that cancerous altchan behavior (so far), so I look forward to how things turn out.

When we were setting our IRC, figuring out how to properly set InspIRCd was a huge pain, so we decided going with UnrealIRCd which was apparently a lot easier to properly set up, so you may want to check that one

Also you will probably want to set Anope on whatever IRC daemon you are using - which allows registering channels/hosts/usernames/simple moderation tools etc

Hello wapchan! It's nice to see a fellow like-minded imageboard out there and we thought it'd be nice to say hi and introduce ourselves.
The goal of 22 is to steer clear from the things that made 4chan cancerous which is why the userbase is relaxed and the site is comfy. We're not a nostalga board but it is an aspect of the community. We hope you guys have a nice day and that everything works out with your board.

Hello ranchan-san,

I am a moderator at heyuri.net, it's a BBS with a Futaba style imageboard, a 2channel style textboard, an oekaki board, a western Ayashii World copy, and cool users

At first glance it could seem like an interwebz nostalgia site, but it's more about having fun in the way we used to do in early 2000s, with some rulez to keep nu-4chan AIDS out.

I think it's fitting perfectly with this site, and linking two would benefit both sides!

There are forced-anonymous IRCd softwares actually, but you would need to set the IRC server (and not just channel) to use them. Or you could create a channel on an existing IRC server of course, but I wouldn't really suggest it: that would attract trolls. If it's just "generating random nicks", there isn't anything preventing anyone from joining an ordinary IRC room with different nicknames each time.
