I did the sign up nonsense but didn't get a code yet sadly.

I'm going to pass. The game looks incredibly clunky and unfinished. The art style doesn't do it for me at all and it makes the game feel less believable. It also looks just like Apex but with knee-capped movement and I don't like Apex.

>>1654I had some stuff come up and there was downtime Wednesday so I haven't even been able to play yet. I did the tutorial but that's it so far. My weekend starts tomorrow so I'll get at least a few games in.

So far nothing has managed to generate any interest in this for me. Maybe that will change at some point, but I doubt it.

So I did about a dozen runs. The gameplay is fine but I don't see what the hook is. Finding better gear and killing other players is great and all, but there seems to be no reason for any of it at this point.
I know Bungie has hinted at bigger maps and raid-like mechanics and whatever else. They really need to show some of that before the game releases; especially if it's not free to play. No one is going to give Bungie money with nothing to go on.

>>1715Looter shooters and extraction shooters in general have a very niche captive audience most of which, treat the games as a second job.to make matters worse, the market is absolutely saturated. A 22 year old kid who has been playing fortnite for 10 years isnt going to switch to marathon. He simply doesnt have the time to play two games at the same time and he isn't going to abandon 10 years worth of pew pew loot and skins ,just for a game that might be dead by the end of the month.
It doesn't matter if marathon is a good or bad game, its just that in a saturated market, a copycat isn't going to have any drive. Case in point, all the GTA clones of the early 2000s era.

>>1716AAA studios keep adding these mechanics (and RPG mechanics) to their games but they just make them time sink skinner boxes that don't mesh with companies wanting to release new games frequently or wanting people to play multiple games at a time.

>>1716Yeah, I genuinely have no clue who this game is supposed to be for. Maybe there's something crazy Bungie has up their sleeve but I highly doubt it. 3000+ hours in Destiny and I know full well that Bungie's head has been firmly planted up its own ass for years now.

>>1718It's for executives who want "the next Fortnite!!!11!!" As long as the dream is there, games like these will keep getting made and then canceled.

>>1717>>1718>>1719It feels like the game was made by ticking a bunch of boxes on a spreadsheet but then again that's most modern games these years.
I wish companies would go back to making games like thief or splintercell , instead of DOA garbage like concord and marathon

Destiny 2 is going to have a fully licensed Star Wars expansion. Fuck Bungie, I hope Sony dissolves the company entirely. Figamin, feel free to delete this thread.

>>1725>Destiny 2 is going to have a fully licensed Star Wars expansionITS FUCKING REAL, WTF??
>The Destiny games, with their laser swords, hover bikes, and space wizards, have always been Kind of Star Wars. But Destiny 2 will go Full Unadulterated Star Wars later this year with a new, Lucasfilm-authorized expansion called Renegades. It literally has lightsabers and Darth Vader in it.*inhales* HahahhahahahhahahahhHahahahahahahhahaHhahahaHHHhahahha
They have gone full fucking insane, starwars is a dead franchise in a dying pond. It's like betting on a lame horse with a lazy eye. These morons are flushing their money down the toilet even though they are bleeding money. This is definitely a scam, it probably benefits the suits and puts money in their pockets.

I remember being a wee lad back in 1999. We had just bought dialup from some new company that gave us a disk at an expo. Everyday after school,I would go to yahoo games and see what new flash games they were offering. Eventually I found some other websites and had a long list of flashgame destinations after a while.
I remember waking up very early in the morning on weekends so I could play starwars flash games on some website I can't remember the name of. I would just play untill mom woke up to make brekki. Everyone was still alive and well back then.God those were really comfy times, i miss it.

I used to love Star Wars too but that all ended the moment The Last Jedi dropped. Now I physically recoil with cringe every time I see anything Star Wars related. I saw this shit on the stream and I immediately stood up and walked away. Seeing people defend such blatant corporate greed just because their nostalgia boners are being tickled a little is truly disturbing.

As for starwars, disney tried its very best to kill the franchise, even going as far as adapting tumbler fanfics and hastily sketched fanmade comics in toilet stalls
