Having things is always nice. It's clearly not meant to display for someone or impress someone or show off, it just feels fulfilling to have some sort of decoration that there is meaning and attachment to.
I think there is more to it than just having the figurine though. It's important when and why and how you acquired it too. If something was very interesting and a big part of my life for a while, and I decided to get a figurine of some sort to commemorate that time of my life further down the line, it just wouldn't be the same. I remember there was one image in the style of MNOG that was pretty cool, I feel like that would have been good to use. There was better stuff but overall I'm not infuriated. I don't really worry myself with the gay details of the contest and TTV's clique faggotry, I just like looking at it from the sidelines and enjoying the MOCs that come out of it. Gay shit is to be expected from pretty much any forum. So long as the result isn't horrible I wouldn't complain about it.
