>SON OF LAW
not great results, especially compared to his teammate, has potential, decent race craft needs to tone down his aggression.
>PINT O COLA
the alpine was terrible but so was coca cola, jack doohan died for this shitter.

I rank ant lower simply because he had a much, much better car compared to all the others, BUT it still takes a good driver to deliver good results. I'm also biased against him due the 2 MAJOR events he was involved in that cost max this championship AND taking out my boy chuck in Zandvoort.

HAD - if you watched him in F2 you knew he had some talent but you'd have a good chance of guessing he was going to be a comic relief radio raging baby, and yet he was clearly the best one, the DNS in Australia didn't break his spirits, hopefully he gets some time to settle next to Max in 2026 because the RB graveyard is getting quite crowded
BEA - tamed the shitbox and fought valiantly against rato, if he keeps a steady form next season I can see him jumping up to a more deserving team, maybe Ferrari, who knows
ANT - a machine like a Mercedes is not easy to handle and he performed adequately, had a streak of very poor luck and form races at the middle; some quite costly mistakes not only to himself but to the contenders but he's very young and with a good future ahead of him, Toto hopes at least
BOR - some nice highs but some deep lows, hopefully Audi provides a better ride than the bright green tractor and HVLK helps his development
LAW - can't remember much of him this season, I even forgot he started the season at Red Bull
COL - didn't amount to much other than some sponsorship money for Alpine

a lot of things.
new car and new engines means we could have lots of "fun" issues and dnfs. hopefully an even field amongst more teams.
looking forward to seeing if AM can finally have a competitive car.
will audi have a decent car or is it a few years away still?
will it finally be the year of the tifosi?
I hope these new regs will eventually lead to even smaller cars in the future

On a side note, I'm not as upset about lando winning as I thought I would be. I'm reminded of when hamilton won at silverstone in '24 after being winless for two full seasons. I dreaded it when it was a real possibility (cus it was funnier if he was never gonna win anything again) but when it finally happened I was alright with it. He was so humble and genuinely happy that I couldn't be mad.

Still don't like lando but he's grown a lot as a racer this year and is not delusional enough to believe himself to be the best driver on the grid just because of the title.

I'm more upset at ps3's lack of games for so long and the small things that would've given Max enough points to win, Spain/Austria/Qatar.

thanks for reading my blog

Don't worry, Cadillac will keep the 11th place all for themselves. If the rumours are true and Merc really have the best engine, it'd only be a matter of reliability, strat, aero, and driver skill. They could be fighting for lower top 10 finishes early in the season.

Palou had a dominant season this year and won the most important race of IndyCar too, it was Max 2023 tier dominance. Granted that the grid'd driving skills are bellow the F1 grid.

Ogier too had a dominant season, however he's driving for a dominant team, Toyota, that has been on a streak since 2021. Whoever, in his case, he was a part time driver this year and skipped 3 rallies. So he won with a bit of a handicap, but still ahead of his teammates.

Can't post rn in 4chan so i'll post it here. 8 up-and-coming single-seater f4 drivers. This is a year where a fuck ton of great karting drivers will debut

>Dries Van Langendonck BELGIUM

Signed by McLaren in 2024. grew up in the same town as Max Verstappen and is inspired by him. Karting pedigree is one of the best in the world and already competes in pro sim racing events. Probably the most hyped up f4 driver out of all debuting properly next year in either British or Italian F4

>Christian Costoya SPAIN

While not as successful overall in karting, he had a better year in 2025 which also got him signed to McLaren. Always looked competitive in karting just maybe not as robotically consistent as Van Langendonck. Will compete in F4 Italy with Prema

>Alp Aksoy TURKEY

Came out of nowhere from karting and seems to have adapted much better to cars with him topping testing sessions and already looking fast in prep series like Formula Trophy UAE. Will probably compete in Italian F4 with Prema

>Kit Belofsky BRITAIN

A Williams junior. Mainly competed in the British Karting scene. Adapted fast to Single-Seaters due to probably being sim racing addict and already looked really fast compared to some decent F4 British drivers with more experience. Will compete with Fortec in British F4. Also "he" runs a youtube shorts channel with 2 mil subs where he cooked food on his kart. he as in his parents and talent agency

>Niccolò Maccagnani ITALY

A Ferrari junior. Has little to none karting history. Mainly has been privately testing since 2023. Looks super fast in all his tests and looked great in Formula Trophy UAE. All sources and hints say that he's from a super rich family also has his instagram account botted like crazy kek. Will do F4 Italy with Prema

>Thibaut Ramaekers BELGIUM

World FIA 2025 Karting Champion. Always looked consistent in karting despite not winning much. but was always on the podiums in the championships. Looked alright in Saudi F4 but considering his teammates were absolutely nowhere it's fair to say he was kind of hampered by a bad team. Is a French Belgian so has some connections with ART and has been testing with them. Rumours say he might do either Spanish F4 or more likely French F4 to get an additional financial boost for winning it

>Rocco Coronel NETHERLANDS

A Red Bull Junior and son of racing driver Tom Coronel. Won Ginetta Juniors as a rookie and is now preparing for single-seaters. When he was signed in 2024 left a big impression on Helmut Marko testing an F3 car. Has really good racecraft from watching some of his races in Ginetta. Will be doing Spanish F4 with MP Motorsport most likely and he already got a podium for them on his debut weekend.

>Scott Kin Lindblom SWEDEN

Another RB Junior. Both him and Coronel looked alright in Karting but seem better suited for single-seaters. Also competed in Ginetta but had worse racecraft than Coronel and couldn't be consistent. However his single-seater speed seems to impress the RB talent scouts and on his Saudi F4 debut looked pretty impressive. Will be doing British F4 with Hitech in 2026

>"Pérez: "At Red Bull, everything was a problem"

>Sergio Pérez described how the Red Bull team has exclusively focused on Max Verstappen over the past few seasons.

>As Sergio Pérez prepares his return to Formula 1 with Cadillac, he has once again criticized the peculiar way the Red Bull team, where he spent four seasons (2021-2024), operates. In the Oso Trava podcast, he elaborated on the exclusivity his former team granted to Max Verstappen and his feeling that he was never able to satisfy his employer, regardless of his performance level.

>"The team complained about everything ," the Mexican driver asserted. "At Red Bull, everything was a problem. *If I was faster, it was a problem and it created a very tense environment. If I was slower than Max, that was also a problem.** I understood that these were the circumstances I was working in and, instead of complaining, I tried to make the best of it."*

>"I knew what I was getting into at Red Bull. *During my first discussion with Christian [Horner], he told me: 'We're going to race with two cars because we have to have two cars, but this project was created for Max, he's our talent.'** I was in the best team, a very complicated team. Being Max's teammate is already very difficult, but being Max's teammate at Red Bull is the worst job in Formula 1."*

Yes, but not at full engine power. Burti noted the car was really slow, and that Newey cars always have been taxing on heat and the Aston's aerodynamics are done in such a way to push as much cooling air to the engine as possible.

They are probably terrified for now that the engine will flop itself into fire if they push it too hard, which would explain the lack of laps.

 No.28898

>>28897
They're looking into multiple options.
One of them is to make boost mode less effective so the speed differential is lower.
Another option is to tweak the harvesting/deployment of electricity to make liko less effective so it's used less or not at all.
I have no idea how that would work exactly.

Changing the start procedure is a headache because the teams pushing for a change blocked exactly those kinds of changes when Ferrari proposed them a while ago, causing Ferrari to designe their engine assuming the procedure wouldn't change.

They (mclaren) want to replace lico with more potent super clipping so the slowdown at the end of straights will be less dramatic and more predictable.

Feeder Series Report:
During the off season there are two series that as a sort of extended testing for the actual season.

F4:
Van Langendonck, Bondarev, Consani, Craigie, Aksoy, Costoya, Maccagnani, Bansal, Coronel, Savinkov are the most promising F4 drivers so far in order. Bondarev is a 2nd year babby so the guys behind him are likely to catch for the actual season. Van Langendonck so far looks like a super talent. His Portimao weekend was especially outstanding. He stalled in the first race and managed to climb back to P7 from P28 despite multiple Safety cars in the rain. The other two races he won by multiple seconds also in the rain.

Formula Regional: Nakamura-Berta, Al Dhaheri, Wheldon, Ninovic, Przyrowski, Powell, Popov and Abkhazava if his form isn't a fluke. Though it is a point of contention where Nakamura will even race since Prema doesn't look so concrete anymore. Same with Al Dhaheri and Wheldon. The grid here in general is weakest.

F3:
Here Slater, Nael, Ugochukwu and Taponen are considered the favorites. Trident and Campos being the best teams with MP trailing a bit back. ART seem to be climbing back. The Dark Horses are Kato, Colnaghi, Gladysz, Clerot, De Palo and Rivera. In General this is definitely the most promising grid on par with the drivers in F4. McLaughlin looks underwhelming so far

F2:
Here it's either Camara wins or we go fuck ourself because there's zero chance anyone else has a chance. Tsolov, Herta, Stenshorne, Dunne, Beganovic and Mini will be most likely scrambling for the top 3. Leon and Varrone are the dark horses

Dan Towriss, Cadillac's F1 team CEO, original plan was to have an american driver on Cadillac's F1 team, Herta was the main candidate from GM, but this didn't happen because he wasn't able to get enough super license points in the 2025 season. The plan B was to move Herta to an F2 team and have him learn all about the tracks and tires, while also helping developing the F1 car.
Towriss says that the Cadillac seat isn't guaranteed for Herta and that he'll need to earn those points through his own, but it looks like a mere formality PR talk. TWG Motorsports partnered with Hitech for the 2026 season for this reason.

https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/fia-announces-clampdown-on-compression-ratio-tests-from-june-2026/10801028/
>"The FIA has worked to find a compromise solution which determines that the compression ratio will be controlled in both hot and cold conditions from 1 June 2026, and subsequently only in the operating conditions (130deg C) from 2027 onwards."

>The revised article C5.4.3 of the 2026 technical regulations now states the following:

>"No cylinder, as referred to by C5.1.3, of the Engine may have a geometric compression ratio higher than 16.0, measured in the following conditions:

>Until 31 May 2026: when the Engine is at ambient temperature

>From 1 June 2026 to 31 December 2026: when the Engine is at ambient temperature as well as when the Engine is at 130degC.

>Any component, assembly, mechanism, or integrated arrangement of components that is designed or functions to increase the compression ratio in operating conditions beyond 16.0 is prohibited."

 No.29035

>>29032
As The Race said at some point, making the rule "can't be higher than 16 at ambient temperature nor at 130°C" is actually worse than having just the latter, because some engines actually lose ratio at high temps so they need to start with a slightly higher one at ambient temperature.
Engines already need to pass the ambient temperature check so if won't change things much, but it's a missed opportunity.

>: “One of the problems with these regulations is that the shorter you are on ICE power, the more you have to make up for using electrical energy to cover for that lack of ICE power, which means that by the time you really want that electrical energy on the straights, your battery's gone flat.

This doesn't seem to be the first time you got banned from there though. Didn't you come here in the past for the same reason?

Also, don't post the actual image here, nobody cares, let's keep this chill, it's the first gp of the year in a few hours

No you dumbass. People who actually care about their privacy got funneled into a 'temporary' (forever) wide-range IP ban for no reason. Previous picrel is some anons experiencing the same thing as me discussing it in the archive of a previous thread.

>>29152
That sucks. Here in Mexico Fox Sports had the rights for a while, and it was good. One day Fox forced the narrators to split into a Mexico and South American divisions.
Then they lost the F1 rights because of financial problems, mainly not paying Fox USA for the use of the network name. F1 jumped ship and partnered with the biggest mexican network, Televisa, which is notorious for having shit narrations for most sports.
Now the only way for people to have some quality narrators is through South America's Disney Plus, which is were most of the old narrators were moved to by Fox, and F1TV.
