So, it happened AGAIN. We can blame /qa/, we can blame PHP, we can praise the hacker’s effort, but the truth is it's simply not enough. Tactics, determination, you name it, it all stinks.

Don't get me wrong, I still have full faith in the lads, but massive reinforcements are desperately needed in the mod team right now. Otherwise I'm not very optimistic about this upcoming reopening, or our chances in the /4cc/ for that matter. Not like this. What do you think, /4ug/?
#HiroIn or #MootBack?

Moot is never coming back. He's pretty much disowned you guys. 4chan was nothing but a huge failure. You can blame Hiroyuki all you like, but the site users are just as responsible for that dumpster fire of a site. Once its back up, you'll all go flocking back and everything will be the same.

Fuck moot. He's the reason why 4chan is in such a sorry state.

Denying subhuman rightards in /pol/, /r9k/ & /news/ etc the right to have opinions is but a small price to pay for the downfall of 4chan. While there are things in my life I enjoyed that will never exist again, my life goes on. People lived before 4chan existed, they'll continue to live after. There are so many sites/forums etc that no longer exist. I have gotten over those facts. Everyone else must. Everything has its time. Move on.

It was convenient having all boards on the same website and being able to hop between them and I would instantly go back yeah
I'm liking the features on those new sites though

>Denying subhuman rightards in /pol/, /r9k/ & /news/ etc the right to have opinions
It was the right decision to shut down /qa/
I don't have any love for the jannies but I can't even imagine what it must be like to try and monitor some absolute garbage threads.
The Jannies sucked overall though, someone keept spamming the claude threads on /v/ with cp and was seemingly never banned.

What this means for the future remains to be seen, hopefully the site comes back and all the schizos and awful posters go back to 4chan and the rest stays on alt chans

granny jannies deserved it but what an epic fail by gookmoot to leave the site down for so long.

I think it's ironic that /g/ jannies would constantly delete windows 7/10 baby duck threads and shame anons for not updooting their webbrowsers like good consumer-slaves, but they themselves were the biggest baby ducks of all, failing to install commonsense_antivirus and getting owned by a zeroday. All they had to do, was updoot.

Some pretty disingenious normie posts going on here. A history lesson:

when moot first deleted pol and friends, it killed site activity for almost a year because those boards contained so many crossposting oldfriends who all went to alt chans. Moot absolutely hated that he lost and was forced to bring those boards back to save his spot as king of the hill. 4chan has alwasy been a site for fringe internet culture, and while sheep posters like yourselves may like to think you are the majority of people in the real world, they are not the majority of people who post on chans. If you want to just get (you)s for posting what everyone else agrees with, there are already major social media outlets for you to do so. Remember: anime and related content is intrinsically politically incorrect, because it isn't controlled by the corporate oligarchy that runs your society. It is a competiting cultural product, a competiting economic product, and you are commiting a heckin racism/bigotry/badthought by consuming it even if you dont personally think so (your masters do).

when you read some academia article about how 4chan influences elections or something, they arent talking about spergs with loliwafius influecing politics. They are talking about the existence of forign ideals and products interupting the carefully planned out propaganda agendas and narratives that they have spend billions of dollars on each you to make you think you are voting how you want and now how they have conditioned you to.

A person only loves what they know, and the existence of nonstandard/forign ideas introduces unstable variables into the equation of soceital control. This is why china is now exporting their own versions of anime, and manga, and even videogames. It's a form of softpower, and 4chan holding the door open for 20 years has let this come into being.

politics is fine to have as a board
fascist and noenazi posts should have been banned on sight however
thank god europe is waking up to that with le pen and that romanian russian agent being arrested and barred from running, imagine hating democracy and expecting to be treated in a democratic fashion
and this contradiction has always been the problem with fascists and with /pol/
toxic freak people will destroy everything like a plague unless something is done to contain them

>fringe internet culture
Bog-standard right wing conservatism is not fringe culture. It literally won the last American election and thus about 50% of people believe in these "unique" values that you're referring to.
>when moot first deleted pol and friends, it killed site activity for almost a year because those boards contained so many crossposting oldfriends who all went to alt chans
You should've realized that the comparison you were making was moot – heh – the moment you typed out this sentence. The userbase is completely different; it has suffered from mass migration of politically obsessed and internet illiterate tourists since then. Even when ignoring the massive amount of shills the vast majority of /pol/ started visiting the website after 2016. A large amount of them don't even interact with other boards, and the ones that do have a negative impact on every thread that they touch. If it's a smaller board they'll immediately be singled out by multiple anons that are actually native to the place.
>If you want to just get (you)s for posting what everyone else agrees with
We don't dislike /pol/tards because of a difference in opinion. We don't appreciate them because they don't lurk, don't assimilate, and only ever talk politics. It's hilarious that you're trying to frame this as everyone BUT them being 'normie' – consider using 'normalfren' – when we all know what people post on that board. These are people that migrated from places like Reddit and Facebook. And honestly, with how much ironic Reddit speak you're using I suspect that you have a history on that website as well.

Your buzzword filled rant about sheep and government control is a good example of why this kind of stuff gets tiring when it's not contained. The parasite that is politics has completely taken over your body; it's controlling you like the little rat controlling the chef in Ratatouille. You genuinely believe that 2025 /pol/ is some holy place where regime toppling ideology is developed and spread. And not that I want to actually discuss this, but here's a funny question: if you only ever do the opposite of what the sheep are doing, then are you truly free thinking or just a contrarian sheep yourself?

>Bog-standard right wing conservatism is not fringe culture
Well is Trump really a conservative? Is /pol? really conservative? Do you see Edmund Burke in them? They claim to be but they're not. They are a new kind of mutant fascism, or if you want to be less harsh, what Milosevic and his followers were to Yugoslavia.

>>5351
>fascist and neonazi posts should have been banned on sight however
I'm not sure about this. On the one hand, if you ban these people you just let them fester somewhere else instead of being open to critique. But if you don't ban them, there's a risk they'll take over and they have a tendency to be abrasive assholes to anyone who disagrees with them, resorting to insults, slurs, and shitposting instead of making a point. On imageboards, where they've festered for years, they should be banned on sight. No mercy. If you're gonna ban jihadists and stalinists, then you might as well ban nazis and crypto-fascists. If they don't talk about anything other than politics. They should fuck off.

>>5351
Politics, in the popular sense, was always going to be poison. Having a board for discussing politics was always going to produce a cancer unless extremely strict rules are imposed.

>>5240
>anime and related content is intrinsically politically incorrect, because it isn't controlled by the corporate oligarchy that runs your society
Who do you think owns those studios anon? Anime is a cooperate business.

>4chan has alwasy been a site for fringe internet culture

90% of the stuff /pol/tards and stormfrens post was mainstream in liberal American society. Samuel Huntington was a Harvard prof, the Bell Curve book that claimed blacks have a lower IQ was promoted by the New York Times who hailed it as a blow to "political correctness" which was a liberal buzzword in the 90s. The fucking name "politically incorrect" comes from a popular HBO show starring Bill Maher who routinely spews racist shit to a liberal audience. Just last year Thomas Friedman, as liberal as you can get, posted an opinion in the NYT depicting Middle Easterners as zoo animals and insects and the same progressive liberal paper depicts them as bloodthirsty rapists, even faking whole stories to do it. There is nothing underground about you people. The only difference are the words you use, your schizo behavior, and the extremes you push it to. Half the stuff you believe was cooked up in well funded think tanks. You are the opposite of underground. If mainstream society hates you, they hate you because you are freaks, a Frankenstein monster they cooked up, an experiment gone wrong.

4chan didn't go mainstream, but mainstream went 4chan. And that was nearly a decade ago now.

/pol/ was a victim of its own success; nobody would have cared about it if it hadn't spread across the rest of the Internet like schizo ponyshit. Also, I tried going there a couple of times and it wasn't even half as bad as everyone said, because it was so thoroughly infiltrated by US three-letter agencies.

I've heard that 4chan will be back around the start of next month. What a beautiful irony that /pol/ will return in TWO MORE WEEKS.

I've also seen this screenshot, but apparently it's fake.
