>>5489>Bog-standard right wing conservatism is not fringe cultureWell is Trump really a conservative? Is /pol? really conservative? Do you see Edmund Burke in them? They claim to be but they're not. They are a new kind of mutant fascism, or if you want to be less harsh, what Milosevic and his followers were to Yugoslavia.
>>5351>fascist and neonazi posts should have been banned on sight howeverI'm not sure about this. On the one hand, if you ban these people you just let them fester somewhere else instead of being open to critique. But if you don't ban them, there's a risk they'll take over and they have a tendency to be abrasive assholes to anyone who disagrees with them, resorting to insults, slurs, and shitposting instead of making a point. On imageboards, where they've festered for years, they should be banned on sight. No mercy. If you're gonna ban jihadists and stalinists, then you might as well ban nazis and crypto-fascists. If they don't talk about anything other than politics. They should fuck off.
>>5351Politics, in the popular sense, was always going to be poison. Having a board for discussing politics was always going to produce a cancer unless extremely strict rules are imposed.
