I feel angry at certain intellectual problems formulating inside my head and the current state of the world and the people around me. I cannot escape this because these problems are things I see everywhere. It makes me unhappy, angry, overly analytical, and confused. I'm actually a very stupid and sad person.

There's something very wrong with the way we talk about each other. Its just depressing to see how much hate people have now and seeing it rising everywhere. Obviously social media has a role in amplifying this and there are moneyed interests behind it. Society is becoming more and more merciless towards the less fortunate.

I see a lot of malice in the world. Hatred was always there, it's not new, but this is a different thing. When people hate you, they don't want you to be near them. They might beat you up or kill you to have you gone. But this thing, however, is people who would search for you and chase after you just to make you hurt. Over and over. And you don't even think of approaching them or being in their world. A rational person would at least have a reason to do harm, but these people only want an excuse. This thing was never as rampant as it is now, and whenever it happened before people could usually formulate a clear reason of why they do it. Today they themselves don't seem to know.

>>6767Why would you call yourself a stupid and sad person? If you're not good with negativity then remove yourself from it. You don't have to acknowledge it or analyze it if you're not learning from it, anyway.

>>6771Most hate I see is against billionaires and the like. On places like reddit you can't go anywhere without seeing vitriol fundamentally stemming from envy and deep seated nihilistic hatred for optimism against things like AI. Most people care about the less fortunate, nonetheless. Seems like you're noticing patterns but you're also just going to be noticing things that feed into your biases, noticing patterns without also nurturing a philosophical breakdown of why you believe certain things are causative or correlative leads to something akin to schizophrenia. It's delusional.

>>6772Hate is multi-faceted and doesn't necessarily leads to repulsion, it can be the driver for synthetic thinking if you hold it loosely. In the elder scrolls they have the concept of a seed trying its hardest to reject the dirt in order to affirm its identity as a seed but turning into a tree as a result. If someone is following you around then it's likely they've formed their identity around you or something, if they don't understand then there isn't a reason for why you should acknowledge them.

I've found a lot value from trying to understand the world but I find compassion to be the more interesting thing to talk and think about, but there's not much in the way of actually learning how to be compassionate. Most of what I've learned about it could be summed up as game theory and mental hygiene.

i dropped out years ago, and became isolated, little did i know it was nowhere near the pinnacle of solitude. currently, i'm a hikikomori neet. i can say for sure now that i have no friends, and find myself unable to connect with anyone. but what's been troubling me the most is the fact that, even online, i am alone. it wasn't until today that i randomly went on this website and reunited some courage. it's been so long since i've even had an acquaintance, a friend, someone with shared interests. i am undoubtedly alone and sinking into chuunibyou and other of my delusions (haha) i fear that not even someone like Misaki could help me, let alone even appear in my life. if even online connections are scary… then i don't know what will be of me. i have ideas in mind, dreams of the future during fleeting moments, but there's a fog blurring everything out for me and showing me a black screen instead of a future. i can only fantasize and pity myself for my excruciating melancholy. there's so much to say, but i could go on and on.
i know this is long. forgive me for i don't speak my mind often, and when i do i go unheard.

Instead of thinking why someone might be right, many people only think of how someone might be wrong. People don't want to add new variables to their worldview. Ideally, both questions should be asked, as well as what to do about it.

>>6781I'd go through the mental checklist of what you could do to make yourself feel better even if slightly. Sleep, diet, and physical activity being foundational. After that I'd sort through what you could do to find people to talk to. You might want to teach yourself or allow yourself to be delusionally optimistic just in order to convince yourself to do things without losing motivation.

>>6781Years of isolation are no joke, i forgot how to hold a conversation from all the years as a neet.
For me it's kind of two sides of a coin though, i want to have friends, but i usually can't get along with people irl. Social interactions are exhausting and i've always sucked at it. I only have fun talking with someone when it's about my interests, so anime, games the usual. Even back in school classmates were making comments about me that i was weird because i literally talked about nothing else.
I thought about being alone online too for a while now. I've spent much time in front of the screen but rarely post or interact with anyone because it's exhausting, like i feel this post is a mess but i want to get better at conveying my thoughts i guess. Also i think having online friend/s would be cool, and regret i didn't try when i was younger. And the black screen instead of a future is very relatable.

Let's say you were trying to repair relations with your family and threatened to kill your brother instead. What would you do?
No.6852
>>6815Lay off any alcohol or drugs when confronting family. Save that for afterwards if you really need to.
Second, don't involve your brother because that sounds like you clearly have a huge problem with him. Focus on your other family members like reconciling with your mom. If she brings up your brother just apologize for last time, and say maybe you're not ready to handle him and want to focus on one family member at a time. If they aren't dirtbags they should at least understand, even if they dont like it.

I had an irl best friend for about 7 years. Out of nowhere they told me that we can't be friends anymore and it was like their entire personality changed. They got rude and smug and they never told me why. I've been a mess ever since and I don't know what to do. I really didn't need it, because a lot of bad sh!t is happening already. I've been desperate and bitter and angry. I'm grateful I can vent to my parents about things but when bad things happen I relapse and breakdown.

I used to think my talents would get me far and I could live an interesting life. What does that actually mean though? Maybe entertainment media has made us painfully aware of how boring and mundane our existence is. Manual labor, some kind of bullshit job, or a soul crushing spirit sucking office job of endless meaningless paperwork… and on top of all that the chronic loneliness, the emptiness, the fact that I go outside to touch grass in the ruins of the real world and in there is nothing much to do but roam endlessly. I just wish things were different. Sometimes I wish I could just run away to Hokkaido or Panama or somewhere interesting and escape this horrible feeling of nothingness, but what would I do then? Would I feel any different?
Genuinely think that most people posting these type of sites, NEET or not, are suffering from some kind of low key functional depression. In fact I think most people are like this now quietly.
Only a God can save us.

>>6872Your thinking seems to be predicated on wanting to self-actualize and yet finding the world unworthy but the contrast between your own sense of self worth and the world's worth is making you unmotivated for some reason. I think caring at all about worthiness is pointless, to an extent actively harmful in your case, and most people, even outside of those who use imageboards, would benefit from getting more physical activity and exercise.

I hate the world today. Its awful trash. There's temptation to intellectualize the problem come up with some big stupid philosophy but really where would I start? I'm not that smart. People today are faithless and stupid. I will become a recluse and live alone.

I was definitely planning on actually killing myself. Like I was thinking about how much money I had and where it would go and where I would do it so that my girlfriend didn't have to find me.
Took some time to write today and I realized what was driving me to want to blow my brains out – turns out I'm just extremely embarassed by myself and the person I am and where I've ended up, and then you add a bunch of other stressors on top of that.
But the fact of the matter is that it isn't so bad. Life isn't so bad. I could have done much worse. I have far too high of expectations for myself.
Talked to gf, vented (nix the "I have a plan to kill myself" thing) and I am feeling much better.
Hope thats not too much. I am going to accept myself and I am not going to an hero.

For my own vent:
I am so tired of working in retail. I find my life is split between working and and being at home finding ways to turn my brain off, which is harder to do lately.Tonight to celebrate Friday I've had a few drinks for the first time in a while, called my brother, but I still feel like I'm alone in life and just coasting from paycheck to paycheck. I honestly don't mind the work and I have enough to live on but I wish I was doing something to actually help society rather than increasing sales for some corp
