I think it might be nice to make an accomplishments thread, where we can share things we’ve achieved that we’re proud of and give each other congratulations and encouragement. Anything is fine, from the small things to the big. As long as you feel proud and want to let someone know, this thread is for you!

Recently I managed to succeed in achieving a long-held goal of moving to and working in Japan. I Have been studying Japanese for just about 8 years (on and off) and despite some setbacks, I have had the opportunity to move here and secure both a 5 year visa and a decent job at a Japanese company where I get to use the language daily. Feels like everything I’ve worked towards for several years has finally come together and paid off. I know it’s not going to always be easy, and I still feel like I have a long way to go, but I’m quite happy that one of the few things I’ve made any significant commitment of time and energy towards has borne fruit.
