Its Sunday evening.. Sazae-san syndrome sets in. I decide to use what little time I have left to enjoy something but what? Endless amount of stuff to watch, endless amount of stuff to see. I play one thing for 10 minutes, get bored. Okay, let's play a game, I trawl through the library and nothing feels appealing, 15 minutes later I feel like I've wasted my time. Endlessly cycling through content, reading news articles, watching random youtube videos. I can stream all the anime I want, but why can't I just pick one? Scrolling, scrolling through an endless sea of content. This is how my last few hours of freedom end. Overloading my brain with more content than it can process leaving me unable to enjoy anything. I know I'm not the only one feeling this. But how do we overcome it?
I just want something to enjoy.

>how to overcome
You need to take a break from the computer. Take a whole year away from the computer, you may not use it for entertainment. This will force you to enter a "normal" state where you can enjoy things and also get bored.

In fact, avoid all digital entertainment in this year.
I know it sounds like a lot, but its a way to cure yourself, I promise.

I have to use a computer and the internet for work. So its not that easy to just ignore all digital entertainment and the ads are just everywhere.

I dont mean for you to ditch "screens" anon
Just avoiding doing things like checking your phone for no reason or spending your free time on the computer. Try doing activities that do not involve screens when you're free, stuff that let's you move, talk to real people, see real places, etc.

I too work on the computer ^^

I've been avoiding youtube all day. I think that's the main mind poison. I've been trying to restrict the tabs I open too. There's not much to do in my town. Its a pretty desolate place. I went for a walk though. I still feel kinda overwhelmed though.
