Two ways to look at that, I guess. First, people think you're naive. The second, you are a realist.
Nobody really controls what happens in a job interview process, though. Sadly, you have to embellish certain things to make yourself seem slightly better than the next person. But it's still up to the hiring person. I think being pragmatically carefree is the ideal way to do job stuff.
