No.5007
>>5006>Seamless CeilingWell I think it has fucked me over every time you used it. After trying and failing to block/graze it a dozen times, I'm guessing I'm supposed to hit you. The one time I wanted to try that, you were across the screen and I had no way to even reach you without the mallet
No.5008
>>5007yeah, it's fully unblockable/ungrazable. you are meant to hit me out of the start up, but it feels like it has about as much start up as Sakuya's World so if you are not already in position it's just not gonna happen. and unlike Royal Flare it takes basically no setup, so if i see you are out of range you are just boned honestly
funny thing is that it's even more bullshit on Satori because she can set up rose bullets to shield against full screen snipe attempts as well

No.5181
>>5180ggs, thanks for hosting
>I'm still unable to keep neutral safe and win air duels.honestly you are on the right track, but you really really need to learn to deal with character ranges though. you can't play at Alice j6A range the same way you would against, say, Cirno. same in the Iku mirrors. each character has a different threat range that conditions when you are able to graze and when you should back out/block or even force a whiff if you already know what's coming. against Cirno that's basically a non-factor because her melee range is non-existent, and your gameplan ended up being pretty effective
No.5182
>>5181I've been watching replays and some other iku players and somehow they know how to keep it safe while flying and don't get hit often, my main focus know is to learn how to actually do that, but I keep failing at it
The situation I see often is trying to escape a corner by D8 and D6, but I get caught by any character's j8a, sometimes in the center of the stage.
I mean you are right I'm not really treating each character differently but since there are no guides about how to approach each character I'm stuck with my own creativity.
No.5183
>>5182Iku is kinda privileged in that sense because her range is fucking huge so she has the advantage against most characters. even against Alice, she plays at basically the same range but just does it better because j2A is faster and easier to land cancel than Alice j6A, so it's way more spammable
you really want to keep in mind the opponent's melee range when grazing, and that's not just the range of individual moves but also approach options like Aya/Marisa hj7 j5A. if you are within that range then you really shouldn't be grazing so freely anymore, unless you got good bullet cover. Iku can usually throw a preemptive land cancel j2A to fend off opponents at that range though, and that's how she zones out more effectively. if you look at replays or matches try looking for interactions like that so you can see them in action. if you are not in position to land cancel then you'll probably have to block or get ready to BE out

>are point-blank bullets actually good in an air-to-air fight or am I just bad at grazing?not "good" but they sort of force you to mix up your graze timing, so if you just fly on autopilot to simply reach me then i'll usually cancel into a bullet special to punish whatever melee aerial you'll try to throw at me. it's easy to counter because you just have to hold flight for a tiny bit longer, but then again if you just hold flight preemptively i'll probably have time to airdash cancel into a melee or something
