her airdash in general is super strong for offense, if the opponent gets too scared to move against landcancel j2A then you can generally IAD to start offense for free

>Damn just when I figured out how to safejump on block now I'm getting caught.not sure what you are trying to do, safe jumps are usually meant to catch reversals and i used almost none in that set. do you mean chicken blocking? because i did catch quite a few chicken block attempts
No.4878
>>4877>do you mean chicken blocking? Oh yeah that
No.4879
>>4878yeah that's usually a very match-up specific technique, against a character like Alice it usually kills or makes pressure really hard to follow up, but a character like Sakuya will outright murder you if she catches you trying to chicken block a 2B or something like that. not that it's entirely useless at all, but if you are gonna try that you definitely have to plan ahead to make sure you aren't air blocking straight into an AUB
No.4880
>>4879I'm trying to slip from pressure and do a j5A, sometimes it works that's why I keep doing it, after all I don't have any other ideas for a counter plan. (keep blocking and I get guard crush, if BE I get caught jumping, and my 4A barely works)
No.4881
>>4880it will work in certain situations, it'd be good if you find a pattern of when it's safe to do it
>if BE I get caught jumpingBE is by far the strongest escape option but just doing a BE doesn't mean you are instantly out. also there are 2 ways to deal with BEs, BE catch or BE chase. in order to catch a BE i have to do it on read because there is no way i'm reacting to it during the window you're still vulnerable. usually that's an overcommitment and if i'm wrong (which probably happens more often than you'd notice) then you have a free escape route. a really common example is Reisen 236B > j6A, 236B is basically begging you to BE but the most reliable way to catch it is with a preemptive j6A. if i try to fish for that BE catch though, now you have the chance to BE the j6A instead and there is really nothing i can do to stop you from that, since i already commited to a previous read
BE chases CAN be done on reaction, and you won't get hit unless you decide to mash out of BE for whatever reason, but they usually mean you'll have to keep holding block until you figure out how to escape the air pressure. that's basically a safer chicken block situation, since you will be out of range for ground AUBs, but escaping the pressure can still be tricky
No.4882
>>4881Right my timing is still a bit off on BE's because I'm trying to get them on first frame of a bullet attack, or A dials, not a good thing.
What do you usually think when you are being pressured at? to plan an escape route.
No.4883
>>4882>What do you usually think when you are being pressured at? to plan an escape route.the specifics are usually quite character dependent, but generally the safest BE spots are command normals (6A/3A). against a character like Sakuya for example, i can usually expect a 6A to come eventually since 3A is terrible against most grounded characters. in that case i'm waiting to react to the startup of the move i want to BE (6A in this case), so i'm ready to do it as soon as the move gets blocked. against characters with trickier command normal mixups like Youmu i kinda just guess whether i'll have to block a 6A/3A
it's also useful to keep an eye out for melee specials, since they are usually last resort BE catches and if you block them you have a free escape route. it's useful against moves like Iku d236, Youmu d214, Sakuya d623, etc. when those moves are in play you usually wanna get a feel for how the opponent uses them, if they never use them then you can safely ignore them, but if they start implementing those as mixups then you can bait them into throwing those on block and then escape afterwards
also i tend to look at my own spirit a lot, if i'm blocking right and the opponent isn't spamming bullets then i don't really mind sitting there and holding block until the opponent starts getting desperate and starts throwing out unsafe moves. and if they start spamming projectiles then i usually have to escape earlier, but that also means i'm probably gonna find a lot of BE opportunities. for example Patchy does stupid spirit damage with something like 4B > 2C > 236B, but basically every single move there is a safe BE spot so as soon as she starts her bullet pressure you can use it as a chance to escape

>>4906i have no clue what version that is because as far as i know there are 2 different v2.30s, but if it doesn'thave Tewi and Mamizou then it's not the latest version

as far as i know the only module that's needed in swrstoys is Soku2.dll, the rest went pretty smoothly

i'd play other characters but i noticed that my soku2 decks are all fucked up for some reason. Satori's resource management is probably the most fun for me anyways

I'd like to play soku2 as well

Mamizou's gimmick is pretty cool, but i dunno against Satori since her meter is basically the only thing worth copying to begin with lol
>but I think I understand the soup nowthat thing is extremely fast, caught me offguard way too many times just because i didn't expect to get punished in such a short window

>>4921I like the 66C and 5AAA[A] copy thing, but at my skill level I'm not sure if fully changing forms is beneficial against any other character besides my main (IF a pseudo mirror match is a better matchup than sticking with Mamizou). Would be cool if there's a way to fit the form changing into combos but it looks too slow for that.
Yeah that spell is insane. If it isn't a DP, it sure as hell feels close to being one. Even funnier that I can alternatively use it to heal if I miss.
