The delay falls into just the right window when it feels uncomfortable waiting that long, and 236B after has to be done fast enough when it needs a weird input, at least on keyboard. I have to either do 3A 5D 236B or make a half-circle like motion by releasing 6 right after I input 3A. At least it gives enough time for 4C 236B oki and actual pressure with j8A ender.

GGs Alice player! Despite losing 9-21, this was some really good soku. I got to practice Marisa's offensive a bit more.
The rounds where I won seemed to be so only because you seemed exhausted. Or I wonder if I'm wrong?
Also, make sure to check out the AI war thread in /vnt/
>>>/vnt/1925 . It's a good game, even if it's long. The AI on 9+ difficulty is so harsh I've yet to beat it after around 200 hours in it. Lower difficulties are manageable, though.

>The rounds where I won seemed to be so only because you seemed exhausted. Or I wonder if I'm wrong? I don't think it's good to think this way. Even if there are external circumstances, a win is a win and a loss is a loss. In this case, there were no such circumstances. I just don't know how to handle enemy DPs and made other sloppy mistakes.

I just don't know how to handle enemy DPs and made other sloppy mistakes.Very well, I'll believe you. No more talking like that. It was difficult to get those wins as is, if I was a worse player I'd basically get less. Some of those games came down to a wire. Sometimes even literally.
>I saw it, might buy it, probably won't join on Friday. Time has been precious recently and I'm already ghosting some other commitments.Happy New Year and merry (oldtimer) Christmas!

No.4235
>>4234Marisa is a really fun character all around. You get so many situational tools to pull out of a hat, but if you use them at the wrong time, it gets bad for her. So it's like playing a character with 9 attack buttons, in a way.
No.4236
>>4235I think most characters have a lot of situational moves, but they get overshadowed by some low-risk multipurpose move. I get what you're saying, though, I think it's much more entertaining for both players when once character has a lot of risky but rewarding moves.

> Much harder to disrespect a character with such a damage output. That's the reason why I picked her today, couldn't bear your impudent mashes any longer. Yuyu's mash punish is at the very least a good 1.8k+ autocombo anywhere on the screen, and in best case with 4k timebomb attached as well.
Question to experts - how do I make my opponent stop mashing as much and get some respect as Aya? I'm really trying to use anti-mash measures and they do hit rather often, but at most it's meagre 600 damage for each such "punish" and I can't even blame opponent for disregarding that. Meanwhile anti-mash options are often blockstring-enders as well, so if I always go with them I won't be able to get persistent pressure.

No.4267
>>4265GGs, thanks for the games. For once, Meiling's 623B works like a solid anti-air. I love this move, but it's practically useless against most characters.
No.4268
>>4266Seeker Wire takes away a lot of fun things Alice has with default spinners. Doll placement doesn't matter that much anymore, and metered AUB setups and crushes become pretty hard to pull off. She's a completely different character without them. A slightly better one for sure, but it just doesn't click with me as much as default 22X.
No.4269
>>4268That may be true, but Alice's whole deal is that if she doesn't get to breathe, she doesn't get to fight. Aggressive characters exploit that. Seeker Wire lets you, well, breathe.
No.4270
>>4269I think the important thing about Alice that runs d22X is the fact that she's much closer to a rushdown character than a zoner. If the neutral ever gets reset to a fullscreen situation, she's instantly at a disadvantage, but if she can ride the momentum and stay in f5a range, now her opponent doesn't get to play at all. I can't play like, but someone who knows how to pressure people would make her work just as well as an Alice that runs Seeker Wire, on top of having much more freedom with crushes and setups that lead to a checkmate.
