How well do you think a Yotsuba anime would do?

I think that theyres a market for it with plenty of people who enjoy the manga and similar works, even if its slightly shitty I can see it doing well

 No.343

I feel that it would do extremely well regardless of how good the production values for it are. Although I can't imagine a Yotsuba anime happening until the manga eventually finishes at this point. Just because of how long we've gone without one so far.

 No.348

I think it could actually work quite well and I would love to see an adaptation.

I don't really like how arms and legs are always beaming in fight scenes

I found this obscure manga yesterday called Golondrina and binged all of the translated chapters. I love finding these unknown manga but it also sucks because they're usually not fully translated. I'll learn japanese eventually but that takes time
Do you guys have any of them that you want finished?.

Even from a cringe comedy perspective the dub humor lost me entirely after this scene
The actual fight made up for it but I'm certain Vale and his buddies aren't making me laugh

Recently got around to watching it, and was pleasantly surprised to find myself loving it. Mystery was great, which was complimented by countryside setting. It really knows how to create tension and ambient atmosphere as it manage d to make me feel uneasy. I heard it's a VN adaptation and there is also a manga, so definitely going to check it out sometime in the future.
What are you thoughts?
Shion is the best girl.

Steins;Gate, Fate/Stay Night (UBW) and Clannad are better examples of decent adaptations since they don't butcher the original atmosphere of the source material.

they should make a sequel where they are all in the air force called higurashi - when they fly

 No.438

the new home of /07/th - now hopefully with actual moderation!

 No.439

It seems there is a separate thread about the VNs that is much more recent >>>/vnt/725/
Perhaps that should be merged into this thread?

Finally caved in to modern anime, eh? I guess I'll contribute something here, my beloved Komi. I could go on endlessly about this series. The core premise is simple - Komi can't communicate, so Tadano helps her communicate, which is harder than it sounds with the likes of Itan High students. There are many short side plots, but most of the series is focused around this premise in some way or another. The series can really do a lot with it. I like the way it can take tropes and turn them into meaningful characters, with interesting personalities that can bounce off of all of the other kooky characters. The comedy in this series is funny but not obtrusive to the story at large. Komi and Tadano have what feels like such a real, though definitely romanticized, relationship. It's kind of a shame that there have been more and more meta elements added to the series, as the fact that it can be so grounded in such a fantastical world is what drew me to the series in the first place, but it's still been great up to the fifteenth volume. It feels odd to say, but the series feels very real for a series about a bunch of nutcases. There's no weird loser-princess gap bridging, no magic or science or anything, just a guy trying to help a girl make friends in a school of weirdos. I have never seen the anime, so I don't know how that is.

What do you think? Is Komi good social anxiety representation or just more moe disability fodder? Is the comedy too over the top or perfectly outgoing? Is Yamai too annoying or a great antagonistic force? Are the characters fun and personable or too quirky? Is the love plot balanced or too cliche? Do you even know Komi?

I think this has to do with 4chan shitting the bed with those insane new captchas and "email verification". There's room for /a/lternatives 💣

 No.408

Personally, I didn't like this that much. There are already dozens of shows and manga exploring social anxiety and communication problems. It adds nothing new. Not a bad show at all but I'll pass.

wish they did a more marching band focused version of this. they did a parade but to anyone who's actually marched parades are the most boring thing ever compared to field shows. but i guess that's not really a thing in japan unlike the states?

One of the few anime that made me tear up, Oshi no Ko! (The other two were Toradora and Grisaia, FYI)
What's everyone's general consensus? I feel like a lot of people are dropping it, and as a manga reader, I do understand, but I feel I owe it to stay on Aka's wild ride (…and I do feel this was a relatively predictable ending, honestly)…

 No.399

I've only watched the anime. I liked season 1 a lot, but lost interest during the theater performance part of last season. I just thought it looked silly with the whole emotions showing through their acting thing.

 No.410[Reply]

Watching it now.
Might blog a bit about my thoughts.
Is that okay?

Holy shit they got Zaimokuza Yoshiteru's (Oregairu)'s voice actor for the TV announcer guy haha. I think they use him for meme roles a lot.

 No.414

Nah come on there's no way Zoro would get so pissed by random grunts making fun of his sword style right?
Is that in character for him?

Well, that was just beautiful to look at and the story was competent too.
I wonder what Megumi will work on next.
If you've watched OP Fan Letter, what were your thoughts?
Do you like this style of animation?
