Finally caved in to modern anime, eh? I guess I'll contribute something here, my beloved Komi. I could go on endlessly about this series. The core premise is simple - Komi can't communicate, so Tadano helps her communicate, which is harder than it sounds with the likes of Itan High students. There are many short side plots, but most of the series is focused around this premise in some way or another. The series can really do a lot with it. I like the way it can take tropes and turn them into meaningful characters, with interesting personalities that can bounce off of all of the other kooky characters. The comedy in this series is funny but not obtrusive to the story at large. Komi and Tadano have what feels like such a real, though definitely romanticized, relationship. It's kind of a shame that there have been more and more meta elements added to the series, as the fact that it can be so grounded in such a fantastical world is what drew me to the series in the first place, but it's still been great up to the fifteenth volume. It feels odd to say, but the series feels very real for a series about a bunch of nutcases. There's no weird loser-princess gap bridging, no magic or science or anything, just a guy trying to help a girl make friends in a school of weirdos. I have never seen the anime, so I don't know how that is.
What do you think? Is Komi good social anxiety representation or just more moe disability fodder? Is the comedy too over the top or perfectly outgoing? Is Yamai too annoying or a great antagonistic force? Are the characters fun and personable or too quirky? Is the love plot balanced or too cliche? Do you even know Komi?

>Finally caved in to modern anime, eh?I think this has to do with 4chan shitting the bed with those insane new captchas and "email verification". There's room for /a/lternatives

Personally, I didn't like this that much. There are already dozens of shows and manga exploring social anxiety and communication problems. It adds nothing new. Not a bad show at all but I'll pass.
