Technical issues thread ranchan Admin 01/30/2022 (Sun) 20:32:47 No. 64
I know multiple wapnons have been having issues with replying and other aspects of the site. I mainly use arch and firefox, so if you could say >what the problem is >operating system >browser >extensions that you may think contribute then I could test accordingly and hopefully fix these issues. If you can't reply at all then send a message to admin@wapchan.org with your issues.

>>87 solved the issue i modified the posting form and broke something along the way, so i reverted it seems to have fixed everything
>>94 cool, good job
>>94 I'm the anon that wrote about the issue on /a/. Now normal reply works, but the post doesn't go away from the form. The refresh got stuck after the countdown, and the only way to see my post is F5ing the page. Quick reply, OTOH, won't let me select files to upload. Edit: QR doesn't post anything at all despite the button working.

>>161 shouldnt be any issues (i did a test post beforehand) but restarted the backend daemon just to be safe >edit: there are issues doing a server reboot >edit 2 server seems to be unstable, will resolve

>>162 thanks for the swift response. For whatever reason, I can't upload a gif. Testing with this random one to see if it's just that gif or any at all.
>>161 >>162 >>163 turns out premier was spitting out a file that had too big of a resolution for the site to handle lol, totally my bad. Sorry about that. In other news, the site appears to not let you post gifs that are 1440x1080. Might be too much.
>>164 you mind putting that file on catbox so i can try to fix whats going on?
>>166 for some reason this file causes the database to spike to 100% cpu usage and crash, probably because its both a complex file and wapchan runs on very low end hardware currently (i had no idea if this site would succeed so this is running on a vps with 724mb ram single core, plan on moving to a better specced server soon enough when the traffic warrants it) i deleted the post so people cant attack the server by spamming it

>>169 huh, weird. Yeah, best it gets deleted in that case. Congrats on this site getting some traction by the way, it's really good so far.
I get 403 Forbidden when I try to post on the textboard.
>>419 Should be fixed now, just forgot to fix the permissions after the server move.
The font size in the quick reply window is a little small don't you think? Switched to tomorrow theme which makes the font bigger for the catalog at least, but the quick reply window is still a little too small. My eyes are retro too, so it's hard for me to handle.
>>563 Just modified the font sizes, hopefully it's easier for you.
>>574 You are the best, thank you!
